I love Grace’s attitude and the way that she handled everything especially after that moment in her room that had Logan running the other way and ghosting her. Then he plans to move back home to take care of his alcoholic dependent father and the family car shop while his brother who has been doing that since Logan was in school travels with his fiance. Once we got to the part of the book where the student were on summer vacation and Logan went home, I could see why he acts the way that he does and does everything to the extreme because he knows that he’ll be graduating soon. In the beginning I liked Logan because he’s the cocky hockey player that has the world at his feet (and that’s probably part of the reason why you read the book too), then towards the middle of the book, I was kind of like ummm… where are we going with this? Then towards the end Logan had kind of won me over again in the second half of the book after he had his realization that there could be more to his life than what he thought his future was going to be and once he got his head out of his butt and realized his feelings towards Grace.

And, from the time that Logan accidently knocked on her door and they ended up watching a movie together, he knew that Grace wasn’t like any other girl that he had met before (kind of cliché, I know). Sure Grace was nervous about being around one of Briar’s most known sports player and would ramble on and on about random topics, but she was quick to put him in his place when he started acting out of line. I’m not sure how to explain how I feel about this book.įrom the beginning Grace and Logan had a pretty obvious connection. I loved The Deal and had to continue with the Off Campus Series before I read The Chase from the Briar U Series. TW/CW: alcoholism, absent parent, and mentions of possible rape This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it.

If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.Īfter a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to.

For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants.
